Book #45 for #ReadMyOwnDamnBooks. I listened to this second book in the series on audiobook. It was just as good as the first book if not better. Maybe listening to it made it more real. The narrator gave each character a voice that allowed me to image the scenes.
I love the friendship between these four girls and during this second summer in which some of them are apart from each other, you can see their development and growth. It is a beautiful story of friendship and love across generations.
I like that everything isn’t always roses with the story lines. Ann deals with many different things that happen in real life and makes the characters deal with them.
I gave this book 5 crowns.
