Alice by: Christina Henry

Alice

Book #49 for #ReadMyOwnDamnBooks.

I’m sure I’ve said this a million times but once again…I am a HUGE Alice in Wonderland fan and I am thrilled that there are so many different re-tellings out there.

This is a warped and twisted tale of Alice and the people that she has met before in what she was told to be delusions.  Alice was locked in cell in a mental institution when she was befriended by Hatcher one cell over.  There journey starts in their own private cells but ends out in the city that is being attacked by the Jaberwock, the Rabbit, the Caterpillar and other devilish creatures.

The pace that the author set with this book was wonderful.  It was easy to read and captivating.  Please note that there is much graphic violence and “adultish” scenes.  I am glad that I read this now because the next installment just came out.

I gave this book 5 crowns.
