In a Dark, Dark Wood by: Ruth Ware

Book #61 for #ReadMyOwnDamnBooks

Leonora has been invited to a Hen party (what is know in the states as a Bachelorette party) for a woman that she has not spoken to in years.  She is unsure about whether or not she should go when her friend convinces her to go.  The setting for this party is a large, glass-like house in the middle of the woods of nowhere.  Cell service is non-existent and  the company is not at all the type of people that Leonora wants to surround herself with.

As the party progresses, secrets that have been hidden for years start to come out.  Amidst all of the truths, a major event takes place that Leonora can not or will not remember.  Leonora winds up in the hospital being questioned by police.

This was a page turner.  I enjoyed the story line of this book and I didn’t want to put it down.  It was written well and kept my interested.

I gave this book 4 crowns.
