The Very Picture of You by: Isabel Wolff

The Very Picture of You

It has been many, many years since I have read and loved Isabel’s book A Vintage Affair. I purchased this book years ago hoping to love it just as much. Unfortunately, I was bored. I didn’t really get into the book until the last 100 pages. Some of the first 1/3 of the story was decent but otherwise, I kept wanting to put it down.

This is a story about a portrait painter and the stories that her sitters tell. Maybe the subject matter wasn’t for me. I wonder if I go back and reread A Vintage Affair, if I would still like it as much as I did back then.
